1.         CALL TO ORDER: by Chair Bob Chuck

 

2.         CHAIR'S ANNOUNCEMENTS:

            A.        Public Hearing on Wailupe Valley Elementary-Aina Haina Elementary                                                 Schools Task Force Report - The Task Force issued a report on its study of the                                consolidation of Wailupe Valley Elementary School and Aina Haina Elementary                                School. A public hearing to discuss the Task Force Report will be held at Niu                                     Valley Middle School cafeteria on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at 6:00 p.m.

                B.        Candidate profile publishing opportunity at Nboard2.com

 

3.         FILLING OF VACANCY IN SUBDISTRICT 2 (Waialae Iki Ridge - new increment) -       Due to the resignation of Ted Ashworth

 

4.         HONOLULU FIRE DEPARTMENT (HFD) REPORT:

A.        Citizens' concerns regarding HFD - including responses from firefighters

 

5.         HONOLULU POLICE DEPARTMENT (HPD) REPORT:

            A.        Citizens' concerns regarding HPD - including responses from police

 

6.         PRESENTATIONS: DISCUSSION/ACTION

A.        Renovations to the 'Aina Haina Shopping Center Update - Robert Irvine

            B.        Corporate Campaign Contributions as outlined in HB215 - Nikki Love, Common                               Cause Coordinator on Behalf of the Stop The Money Tsunami Coalition

            C.        Help Us Pass Local Legislation to Illegalize Human Trafficking in Hawai'i - Kathy                               Xian, Pacific Alliance to Stop Slavery (P.A.S.S.)

D.        Resolution opposing Bill 35 (repeal of the one percent for art for City construction) - Jeannine Johnson, Legislative Sub-Committee

 

7.         RESIDENTS' CONCERNS: Because of the "Sunshine Law," concerns may be       presented, but no Board action can be taken.

·        The next Kuli'ou'ou-Kalani Iki Neighborhood Board No. 2 regular meeting is scheduled for May 7, 2009 at the 'Aina Haina Public Library, 5246 Kalaniana'ole Highway at 7:00 p.m.
