Effective: Monday, February 15, 2021

A Presidential Executive Order and New Centers For Disease Control (CDC) Regulations now requires ALL passengers (riders) to wear a Mask while riding public transportation. The regulation states specific types of mask that are acceptable and those that are no longer acceptable to wear while riding public transit.

In addition to wearing a mask while boarding and throughout the ride, riders are also required to wear their masks while waiting at a transit center facility.

Allowed: Double/Triple Layer Cloth Mask, Disposable Mask, Two-layer Gaiter

Not Allowed: Shirt pulled over face, Bandana/Scarf, Mask w/vents, valves, holes, Face shield only (allowed with valid medical exemption card)

Exemptions: Children under two (2) years of age.

Starting Wednesday, April 1, TheBus will be operating on a modified State Holiday Schedule, on all regular weekdays, Monday to Friday, until further notice.  The Department of Transportation Services will monitor loads on the new schedule and adjust trips and vehicle types to ensure that, where possible, best practice social distancing can occur. There are no changes to the Saturday and Sunday schedules.

TheHandi-Van Eligibility Center office is now accepting in-person interviews for those wishing to extend or apply for TheHandi-Van eligibility.

In light of recent events surrounding the COVID-19 coronavirus, TheHandi-Van Eligibility Center staff are taking steps to reduce the risk of contagion for guests and employees. The office and all touch points within are sanitized by staff, with EPA approved anti-microbial agents. The staff wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including N-95 masks and gloves, and appointment schedules and procedures will be adjusted to maintain proper social distancing within the office and waiting areas.
