How to Register to Speak or Submit Testimony
Any person wishing to testify at a Council/Committee meeting is requested to register by the posted meeting time. Each speaker will have a time limit for their presentation and shall not have anyone else read the statement. Testimony relating to items listed on the Council's morning calendar is limited to one minute. Testimony for items listed for the Council's public hearing is limited to three minutes. The time requirements for public testimony before Committee meetings vary from committee to committee. For further information, please call the respective Committee Clerk noted below. Written testimony may be faxed or e-mailed to the respective committee listed below. However, it is requested that you register to provide oral testimony after the agenda is posted. You may submit your registration through the individual on-line City Council Speaker Sign-up Forms or print and fax it to the appropriate number noted below. Oral testimony registration is not accepted prior to the agenda being posted. Note: If submitted, written testimonies, including the testifier's address, e-mail address and phone number, may be posted by the City Clerk and available to the public on the City's DocuShare Website. Electronically submitted forms are processed in the same manner as if registering in person. However, the Office of the City Clerk cannot guarantee that all electronic submittals will be successfully completed.
